Henry Brislak is a contemporary painter whose work explores Emotional Figurative Abstraction through a pictorial practice performed exclusively with a roller.
As the founder of Sentimentialism, he develops a style of painting focused on emotion, silence, and inner experience, deliberately distancing himself from narration and illustration.
Sentimentialism: The Magic of Oil Painting and the Power of the Roller
Henry Brislak abandoned the brush to devote himself exclusively to oil painting with a roller.
This radical and demanding technique allows him to sculpt the medium in constant tension, creating surfaces where figuration emerges from the depth of the pigment. His work revolves around an essential chromatic dialogue: the infinite density of Prussian blue and the symbolic presence of gold, inviting the viewer into an open sensory experience.
